The Secret keeper~ Giveaway

Giveaway contest closed. I will announce the winner on Sunday 11/30/08

The Secret Keeper Girl Books for tweens~

I had such a good time reading through the new Secret Keeper Girl fiction books for tweens and their moms! Yes, that's right. The books are designed to lead to conversations between mothers and daughters about making the right decisions in life about vital issues such as modesty, boys, make-up, mean girls, and more! The books are fun; filled with humor and everyday issues that tweens face. It's so nice to come across a series of books for girls 8-12 that will excite this tough pre-teen crowd and yet encourage conversation about real life issues with the best person to talk to about troubles and challenges. MOM!

What a great habit to form before they hit those teenage years.

"The brand new Secret Keeper Girl fiction books are brought under Dannah's successful Secret Keeper Girl product, a kit that features interactive mother/daughter dates to discuss issues of beauty and fashion. The series, meant to teach family values and biblical truth through hilarious fiction, is comprised of four books. The four middle school girls, who meet during school detention and form a club -- the Secret Keeper Girls -- support each other through the trials and tribulations of tween life."

Pick up a book to learn just what the secret code is between these girls...shhh..I'll let you in on a few of their secrets ( you'll be pleasantly surprised; not the typical tween club rules..)

  1. wise friends stand beside each other through tough times. Foolish ones just come to the parties. Be there!
  2. Be a friend it's the only way to have one
  3. Only wear banana berry flavored lip gloss
  4. Anyone who wants to can totally hang out with us at lunch
  5. no boys allowed

read more....in Danika's totally Terrible Toss ( The legend of the purple -flurp)

Each book follows the life of one of the four girls:

  • Danika, who is struggling with mean girlToni, who is trying to find her way as a girl atheleteThe books feature unique, on-line interactivity for the readers. Girls can interact more deeply with the Secret Keeper characters by simply clicking on secretkeepergirl.com. Readers, for example, can find recipes for foods mentioned in the story -- such as the memorably named Purple Flurp -- or learn Ibo, a Nigerian language spoken by Yuzi.
  •

Kaitlyn, who is confused about boys

Yuzi, a new kid at school whose name nobody can pronounce
