The stockings were hung from the chimney with care

In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there....it's count down time with only 5 days left until Christmas day. My tree is up. We are baking, baking and baking. The girls and I have been making homemade cards. BUT, my stockings are not hung from the chimney with care ( well the mantle)! I have a very curious three year old! The stocking holders that I have for two of our Christmas Stockings are very heavy, similar to a paper weight. I decided not to hang the stockings for fear that my daughter would pull on the stocking and have the holder come crashing down on her head! Looks like I'm not the only one who has thought about what could be a very tragic accident if a holder is pulled off of the mantle. This little girl has bumps and bruises to prove that we need to choose our stocking holders wisely! Typical stocking holders are very dangerous because they are weighted to counter balance the stocking weight. If your baby pulls on the stocking the very heavy stocking holder comes down on their head!
But there IS a solution! Mantle Clip stocking holders clip right onto the mantle and are just a few ounces in weight so if your child does pull on the stocking there is nothing heavy falling down on them. Not to mention, they are one of the most sophisticated and yet affordable stocking holders available. The ladies at Sterling Pear have thought of everything! Buy yourself a Christmas present and peace of mind! Purchase the Sterling Pear Stocking Holder for your mantle! These simple yet sophisticated stocking holders will dramatically dress up any mantle and add an upscale look to your favorite stocking. Use these versatile mantle clips to display Christmas stockings, holiday ornaments and colorful garlands. These durable clips can hold several pounds of weight and fits most mantles (including brick - expands up to 3")
Use the holders year around to display holiday items...

I try not to baby proof, but only have baby - friendly. I know that can be tough at this time of year. Mine is a little older but we never put presies under the tree untill Christmas eve - that would just be too tempting for a wee one!
Merry Christmas to you & your nest!
Hi Jamaise-I actually do the same. We place (kid friendly) ornaments low on the tree and teach her to be gentle..but when it comes to safety I try to get rid of items that could possibly hurt my child. That's why I LOVE these holders I love the term baby friendly. I think I may add that to the post right now!! Thanks again for stopping by!
