wrapping & packing up the holidays ~A Sterling Pear Signature Ornament Storage Box giveaway!

This Giveaway is closed. Thank you to all who entered. The winner will be posted before 1/5/09-

Well, now that the fairy dust has settled and the leftovers are almost gone... Time to think about putting it all away for next year. Why not make it less of a chore by treating yourself to a beautiful way to preserve your precious decorations? From grandma's angel tree-topper to the glittered clay hand print ornament that your 3 year old made this year, they all need to spend the year treated as the heirlooms that they are.

I pack up my treasures in a Signature Ornament StorageBox by Sterling Pear and I absolutely love it! There is no better way to package your cherished ornaments and gift items. The quality is amazing and the design beautiful and partical! I have ornaments from my childhood along with collector Ornaments from the years when my parents owned a Hallmark Store and now the little handmade goodies from my two girls! All of my Ornaments fit into one box and they were tucked away safely until I brought them out this year! I didn't have one broken ornament! I gave the Signature Ornament boxes as a gift last year. My friend who lives in an apartment  loved the fact that she could just sit it in the corner and it added style to her living room. She didn't have to figure out where to stick another unsightly plastic tub!

We are offering a giveaway for you to win a Signature Ornament Storage Box by Sterling Pear!

I like the Honey Berry Wreath. It's pretty enough to use year-round and not just on the holiday.

I usually start packing up the decorations on New Year's Day; it normally takes up the whole day.

I usually start packing just after new years

December 27, 2008 | Unregistered Commentervalerie m

Wow! I was planning on asking a local liqor store for a few boxes with sectioned incerts (like wine boxes) and modifying them for our ornaments. My plan was to be super organized this year. I think I'll wait now! Really nice giveaway here!
Ok I found several things I liked, but you tweaked my interest when you wrote about the stocking hangers. So that would be my favorite.
Keeping positive thoughts & fingers crossed!

I love the Harlequin crochet topiary tree http://www.sterlingpear.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=18&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=86&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2

I love using trees in my decor, and would display that year round.

I pack up my holiday decorations after the new year, usually the first weekend in January. I keep a few "winter" decorations up, but nothing with a definite holiday theme.

December 27, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHeidi

Hello, The Honey Berry Wreath is lovely! I can always use more Christmas storage products. Please enter me in your drawing.
Many thanks.....Cindi

We leave our holiday decorations up until around January 5th and then start taking down and packing away for the following Christmas!
Thanks, Cindi

I like the honey berry wreath and garland! This is the first year we've put up any decorations so I am not sure when we will take them down... probably when it gets warm enough to take the lights off the house...

I love the Honey Berry Garland. It would look lovely on our Entertainment Center.

We pack our Christmas ornaments after New Years Day. It's always the next day that my husband has a day off from work. It takes us an entire day to do,sometimes longer, but it's all worth it!

December 29, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterConnie

So yeah, I am definitely loving that ornament storage box. Until this year my husband and I have always thrown our ornaments in large storage containers. But I'm tired of busted ornaments and disorganized storage solutions. We picked up a few cheap plastic ornament storage containers, but I am definitely on the lookout for something nicer!

That said, besides the green ornament storage box, I'd absolutely love to have the Leafy Star Ornaments. My husband and I are doing a blue and silver tree next year, but for the following year we're thinking red, green and gold, and those leafy star ornaments would go perfectly!

As far as *when* we pack up our holiday decorations, I'd say right before or after New Year's Day. This year we might do things a bit sooner (read: Monday or Tuesday!), simply because we've had decorations up since November 29th and our tree up since December 2nd, and we're sick of looking at everything!

P.S. I Tweeted about this. :)

I really like the White House Ornament, it's beautiful and would make a great heirloom ornament to pass down.

I usually start decorating about 1 week before the teens go on Christmas break from school, and I pack everything back up a few days after New Years. It's only about 2 weeks total that I have the house decorated, but I try to make it as nice as I can every year.

I blogged about the contest here; http://www.mysinglemomlife.com/blog/archives/2008/12/sterling_pear_o.php

I Twittered it here; http://twitter.com/mskat/status/1083562805

It's a really beautiful box, thanks so much for hosting this contest.

I LOVE the ornament box. And at http://www.sterlingpear.com I love the new baby keepsake box. All of my daughter's(now 27) baby items would have kept beautifully there. Now it's time to think of the grandchildren!!
I normally put up my tree and decorations the day after Thanksgiving and take it down the Saturday after New Year's Day.
It takes FOREVER becausa I have a lot of keepsake items from when I was a child (and I'm now 61). They all get wrapped in tissue paper.Cindy

I love the Keepsake Baby Storage Chest! What a precious idea to preserve those special items for a future grandchild!
My kids are 4 and 1, I'm a long way from grandchildren!

Hopefully the Keepsake Baby Storage Chest will be back in stock before then.
