Baking....Gluten Free
Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 01:37PM We've had some rainy days in sunny Southern CA. With two young children in tow; I often try to wing it plan out my days perfectly too keep them busy and happy...huhum
Baking is something we all love to do. I not only look for organic products but in our house they need to be Gluten free as well! I came across this wonderful old fashioned cookie and cake mix. We chose to try their Gluten Free snickerdoodle recipe. They are so light and wonderful. It you've ever tried to bake gluten free, well you know it is a challenge. Cookies just don't seem to taste as yummy....but these pass our taste test!

We have a beautiful sunny day today so off to garden with the girls!
You can purchase this mix at most large grocery stores. I found it at Vons. Amazon carries it but they are presently sold out...wonder why...yum!

A gluten-free household! Something else in common! : ) Thank you for the link. I love the site. I just bought one of your eye pillows (etsy) for my sister in law. Love them!
Love, Gina
I'm jealous! We don't get that brand in Canada! I actually finally convinced my husband to get Vega allergy tested and we found out he's allergic to wheat, corn & potatoes! So although we are organic, dairy free, red meat free, and refined sugar free, I am now embarking on gluten free cooking too! Though his allergy is specific to wheat and not gluten I'd prefer to go gluten free, but almost all the recipes are with potato or corn starch. It will be an adventure in the kitchen for the next little bit!
