Spring Fever
Monday, June 2, 2008 at 02:10AM It remains spring and frankly I'm not ready for hot summer days, just yet. We've had some really wonderful spring days in the 70's and low 80's. The flowers and trees in our area are beautiful. One of my favorites is this purple tree....I'm not even sure what it's called. It's beautiful and really messy. But I love having one in my front yard!

Oh I want one of those in my yard! How pretty!
Beautiful! I love the petals in the grass. What a giant, gorgeous tree! It's in the high 90's here, so enjoy your weather while you can:)
It is gorgeous! I wouldn't mind the mess that comes with that beauty. I'd take your cool days, too, seeing as we're already nearing triple digits and hot as heck. Ugh.
It's like a purple carpet...lovely! Our summer is in full force here; we never have much of a spring...like a few weeks or something. Just long enough for the flowers to bloom, people's allergies to get ugly, and then the HEAT barges in. You are fortunate to have more wonderful spring days! What a GREAT tree.
Holy cow. That is one purple tree.
It's like your own enormous bouquet!
Wow! That is beautiful!
Gorgeous tree. Love the picture.
I think it's a Jacaranda. I would love one as well. I love purple!!!
That almost makes me miss CA ;) I used to live on a street in Santa Ana that was lined on both sides with them and it was quite a sight when they were in full bloom. (a little slippery, too as I remember) I think those trees are the closest thing most Californians have to a snow-covered sidewalk!
