Swim it off....

My tip for this Tuesday is all about swimming. I know many of us mommas want to loose our baby fat but can't find time to get a good workout in! I love summer because swimming offers a full body workout without breaking a sweat....

  • Find a lap pool. Your neighbors, grandmas condo, friends, local community center. Whatever, be creative they are out there!
  • Bring your kids, hop in the pool. Now if you're like me; I have one good swimmer and one that I have to help.

so I can't exactly do laps....my tip:

Play with your kids in the pool, even stay in the shallow end. Try not to touch the bottom of the pool with your feet. Every now and again put your feet down for balance etc. But the goal is....try not to touch the bottom of the pool the entire time you are out playing with your kids. Even in the shallow end, I pull my toddler around in a little boat while my daughter dives for toys. By the end of our 45 minute "play time" my arms, legs and stomach have had a really good workout!

Try this 3 times a week and be amazed  at how much you tone your body and loose too!

That's my easy, fun, healthy tip for busy moms this week.

Oh how I long to swim. I love it so much, but don't have access to one.

I would love to swim! But I have two kids who would need help, one of whom screams through her entire bath. I can't imagine trying to immerse her in a pool! Hopefully someday, because those are good tips!!

I wish I wasn't so afraid of the water! But I am! The thought of my feet not being on the bottom is horrifying!!LOL
